Shipping and Local Pick-Up Available!
US Domestic shipping is available to all states except Hawaii. Dahlia tubers will be shipped mid-April, or when all freezing temperatures are out of the forecast. Tubers will be shipped via USPS Priority Mail. Shipping rates are as follows:
1-4 tubers = $9.00
5-20 tubers = $16.00
21-40 tubers = $21.00
Local pickup
In-person order pickup is available (and encouraged!) free of charge. Select “pickup” during check out, instead of shipping. You will recieve an email with details when your order is ready for pick up.

When can I buy your seedlings?
Several Burfoot Flowers exclusive seedlings will be available in limited quantities for the SPRING 2024 sale on March 16th.
What if I can’t make your pick-up dates?
Please try your best to make the scheduled pick up dates! If it won’t work, email me and we will schedule a time that works for both of us.
Should I set an alarm for the sale? Do you have a lot of tubers to share?
If you are hoping to snag specific varieties, yes— plan to set an alarm, decide what you want ahead of time, have the site open, and check out quickly. Items in your cart are not reserved until you check out. Do not go back and try to add items again if they are removed during check out- they have sold out. I have more tubers available than in years past, but still very limited.
Will you combine my orders if I place multiple?
Shipping: Yes, by request! If you would like me to combine your orders, email me and include all of the order numbers you’d like combined. I will refund your excess shipping costs, minus one $2 processing fee. This covers the fees I am charged by my website when I refund you, and my time to coordinate the combination. If you don’t email me to request your orders are combined, there is no way for me to know! So please remember to email me promptly if you’d like order combination.
Pick-up: Yes I will combine your orders into one bag, go nuts!
Will you tell me how to guarantee the tubers I buy in the fall sale overwinter successfully?
I really wish I could, but no! Dahlia tuber storage must be customized to your exact storage environment. What works great for me at my house, might be a complete disaster for you. I’m happy to share tips and resources with you, but please DO NOT buy fall tubers unless you are completely confident in your ability to store them overwinter in your own conditions, with your own technique, AND need them earlier than mid-April. Otherwise, just wait for spring! I want you to be successful!
Will you have all the same varieties for sale in fall and spring?
Mostly, with some exceptions:
Tubers that are notoriously hard to store and will be available only in the spring sale.
Burfoot Flowers seedlings will only be available in the spring sale.
“Mystery” tubers will only be available in the spring sale.
A few varieties I have less than 5 tubers of will be available only at the fall sale.
General Policies
Satisfaction Guarantee
All tubers sold are grown with great love and care, here at Burfoot Flowers. We want you to have a successful growing season, and have prepared and inspected your tubers many times before shipping. We guarantee your dahlia tubers will be true to it’s photo on our website, and arrive with at least one eye. Please inspect your tubers upon arrival and contact us within 1 week if you have any concerns. We cannot be responsible for damage due to pests, weather, growing or storage conditions, negligence, or plant performance. Please note that any replacements and refunds will be issued at our discretion.
Tuber Limits per Household
Certain special varieties have limits on the number of tubers that can be purchased by a household. These limits are posted in the title of the listing. Because we are a small farm and have a limited number of tubers to share, we use limits to help spread the dahlia love to as many people as possible. Please respect the limits. If your household purchases over the limit, your entire order will be canceled. If you have any questions or concerns about limits, please feel free to reach out: bloom@burfootflowers.com
Tuber Name Labeling Code
Tubers are labeled with four letter “initials” of the full variety name. Most often this is the first two letters of each word in the name, but it can vary based on the name and what is most memorable! For example:
Cornel Bronze = COBR
Small World = SMWO
KA’s Rosie Jo = KARJ
Lakeview Peach Fuzz = LVPF
Koko Puff = KOKO

Substitutions
If something goes wrong with our tuber storage and we are unable to ship some, or all of your order, we will reach out and refund you. If you would like a substitution instead, we will offer you one whenever possible.
Fall 2023 Dahlia Tuber Sale Policies
December 2nd - 9am Pacific - NO SHIPPING
Before shopping the fall dahlia tuber sale, please carefully review these policies, and think about if the fall sale is a good option for you. There is NO SHIPPING, and it comes with the additional risk and responsibility of storing tubers over winter. It is a good fit if:
You know how to successfully store your own tubers
You will pick up your tubers in Olympia, WA
AND
You want to plant earlier than mid-April
You want to take cuttings over the winter
You want to check off your wishlist early
Pick up Dates:
Monday December 4th, 10am-2pm, 4-6pm
Saturday December 9th, 9am -6pm
You will be asked to agree to the following before purchasing fall tubers. Read it now so you can check out quickly during the sale:
Fall Tuber Sale Agreement:
NO SHIPPING: Fall 2023 dahlia tubers are available ONLY for in person pick-up in Olympia, WA. There is NO SHIPPING available. If your billing address is not local, I will email you to confirm you intend to travel to pick-up. If I don't hear from you or receive confirmation of pick-up, I will cancel your order after 1 week from initial email.
TUBER STORAGE: Do not purchase fall tubers if you have not successfully overwintered your own tubers. Once in your possession, you are fully responsible for the storage, monitoring, and maintenance of your tubers, and I cannot be responsible for the outcomes of your storage conditions or technique. That said, I'm happy to share tips and resources, and I will not send you a tuber I’m not confident in. As with all tubers, regular monitoring for proper storage conditions is critical, and any issues such as drying or mold should be addressed promptly
